We love seeing owners support their team’s professional growth! However, because our classes involve NCBTMB continuing education hours, legal waivers, and individual certifications, the registration process must be tied to the person actually attending the training.
To ensure your employee receives proper credit and satisfies all legal requirements, please follow the steps below.
The Golden Rule: The Student Must Create the Profile
Never register an employee under your own name or account. Registration includes signing legal liability waivers and safety agreements that must be completed by the student. If you register them under your name, the system will issue the CE hours and diploma to you instead of your staff member.
Can I transfer a tuition I already paid?
Technically, our tuitions are non-transferable between individuals. To avoid the risk of losing a seat or a tuition payment, it is vital to set the registration up for success from the get-go by ensuring the student is the one signing up.
How to Pay for Your Employee
You can still easily cover the cost of the course while keeping the paperwork in the student’s name:
-
Option 1: The “Over-the-Shoulder” Method Have your employee create their student profile and their class registration. When they reach the checkout screen, enter your business payment information directly into their form.
-
Option 2: Provide Payment Details Provide your employee with the company card details to enter during their registration.
-
Handling Partial Payments: If you only wish to pay the deposit, the student can later log into their student profile, update the “Card on File,” and pay the remaining balance using their own funds.
Why is this necessary?
-
NCBTMB Compliance: We must report hours for the specific individual who attended.
-
Legal Protection: Every student must digitally sign their own waivers and safety protocols.
-
Administrative Accuracy: Registering the correct name from the start ensures the spot is never accidentally released to the public during a “name swap” behind the scenes.
