1st

Step: FasciAshi Fundamentals

Learn to use your feet as therapeutic tools in FasciAshi Fundamentals, the entry point to myofascial ashiatsu barefoot massage. This beginner course teaches safe, posterior one-footed strokes, fascial glides, and deep compressions that rely on gravity—not muscle strain—for effortless depth. You’ll leave with evidence-informed skills that deliver lasting client relief while protecting your own body.

Once your Fundamentals training is complete, you can step into Hot Ashi, Intermediate andor the Range of Motion Stretch Therapy class(es)!

Alternate 1st Step: Barefoot Matwork

Would you rather focus on a matwork style of barefoot massage? Barefoot Matwork blends rhythmic barefoot compression, traction, and movement on the mat to promote ease through the fascial network. Performed fully clothed, it relies on gravity and grounded mechanics—not force—to deliver deep, restorative pressure. Rooted in lineage and supported by modern fascia and pain science, Barefoot Matwork helps clients and therapists experience steadiness, balance, and embodied calm.

Attendance in this class WILL NOT give you access to the Intermediate or ROM classes.

3rd

Step: Advanced

Advanced FasciAshi empowers experienced barefoot massage therapists to refine their technique through complex single and double-footed strokes that deliver precise, safe, and effective depth. Using the Ashi-Strap for support and angle control, you’ll work with clients in prone, supine, and sidelying positions—engaging the myofascial system through multidirectional, gravity-assisted compression.
This course focuses on structural alignment, vector control, and fascial tensegrity to help you reach deeper layers without strain. Each technique can be integrated into your existing barefoot sessions to add dimension, detail, and balance for many clients. You’ll leave with strategies to sequence intelligently, sustain pressure safely, and create sessions that feel both powerful and effortless.

Find your pathway to becoming a Barefoot Massage Specialist

We recommend you allow 6 months between each level of training when possible, and use that time to practice, and really get to know the work before moving on. THAT BEING SAID, we do offer immersion and intensive training experiences where you can "travel once and train twice" while attending multiple classes in a row. These special events are different at every one of our training campuses, unique to the instructors strengths. If you know you want to learn it all and dive in with both feet, look for our back-to-back and blended classes!

The deeper you get into your FasciAshi training, the more you can niche down into your specialty. We'll be releasing new Track classes each year, building the rosters within our Sensory (previously known as our Relaxation Track), Sports and Clinical areas of study. Every Massage Therapist is different based on their training and experiences - and so should every Barefoot Massage Therapist!
