The Center

Get Fascia-nated!

The future of massage is afoot.... follow our footprints to take your career to the next step.

Feet first: Evidence always.

Grounded in Research, Delivered with Sole.

The techniques we teach at the Center for Barefoot Massage aren’t guesswork—they’re grounded in the latest research and taught through feet-on, in-person training so that while you get a literal feel from the sole of this work, you will also really feel the SOUL of this work in our theory, intention and integrity

We want you to massage intuitively with your feet, just like you do your hands. To help build trust in your feet, we work to help you feel confident in why, how and when you may use what stroke where. We incorporate massage, fascial and movement research topics into every class, and integrate pain science education to help you better communicate with your local community and clients.

FasciAshi offers detailed technique combined with education on the theories as to WHY and when you would apply each stroke and who they are most effective for. That way you can create a comprehensive barefoot massage session catered to each client.

For and by anatomy nerds!

Give it weight, then wait is a pretty heavy theory that we’ve found to be important within our barefoot massage approach to impact the Neuromyofascial web. Working with fascial integration, navigating the contours of muscle and bone while applying broad, consistent pressure on varying angles, “FasciAshi” aims to address the body as a functional whole. The further you get into our courses and specialty track classes, the more you’ll see the importance of sustained pressure and anatomical specificity to best impact your clients interoception.

“Once you try FasciAshi, you won’t go back to normal massage”

Our focus is on exploration of how to engage tissue within each stroke using theories of myofascial release, deep tissue and stretch therapy techniques… it all just happens to be applied by your feet rather than hands! That’s our Jam.

Our instructors all have active, busy massage practices, and they are using the work we teach catered to their specialty as we speak.

Our approach is adaptive so you can continue to use what you already know, while also working with our new toolbox to meet the “kneads” of your clients individually.

Many of our own and our students clients are looking for deep pressure that stays consistent thru the massage and over the years. We can help you help them with that.

If your clients are looking for  pressure that doesn’t hurt, while offering pain relief that shows up that day, ten-toes-down, we got you covered!

if your clients want to trust that they can complain about any pain or restriction with the confidence that you’ll know a new way to work on it? Our classes guide you through options that work on how to  “heel” that tissue issue.

We’ll help you to never deliver the same massage twice as you learn a better way to massage: not just because you’ll be massaging with your feet, but because you are massaging better in general with confidence while integrating the pain science, massage/fascial research, and the clinical strategies that our expert Instructor team have all been refining in their businesses for years. (Some of us for 20-30 years, all of us for over 5 years minimum!)
