Welcome to ``FasciAshi``
Learn Myofascial Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage

Barefoot Massage is an overall term for when the FEET are used as tools to offer professional massage therapy techniques. There are many different styles, lineages and approaches that live under the 'Barefoot Massage' umbrella : Myofascial Ashiatsu, which we nicknamed "FasciAshi," is ours.

We train massage therapists in the art and science of using their feet, bodyweight, varying angles of pressure and gravity to deliver deep, myofascial results. We provide the tools to build your confidence as a true Barefoot Massage Specialist. Our approach teaches you to work with the client's nervous system, delivering a broad, deep, comfortable pressure that safely overrides chronic tension and resolves your clients persistent pain.

Our Vision
Normalize Barefoot Massage in your Community

We want "Barefoot Massage" to be a bigger, more respected part of the conversation when it comes to therapeutic massage. We see the foot as another "tool" to massage with, something that is just as capable and beneficial as the typical hand, elbow, or any 'normal' appendage that is used in traditional massage service. As we educate massage professionals on when/how/why to best utilize Myofascial Ashiatsu Massage and Barefoot Matwork techniques, The Center for Barefoot Massage is working to raise the standard on the quality and perception of this specialized style of work. It’s our goal to grow the awareness and understanding of barefoot massage within the massage industry and in the public eye. Our objective is to instill a culture of creativity and excellence within our alumni network.

One of the biggest draws for Massage Therapists to the world of Barefoot Massage is how easily we can give deep pressure without adding more repetitive strain to our thumbs, wrists and upper limbs in general.

The Ashi-Strap was innovated by our company owner, Jeni Spring, LMT, BCSI in 2003, and it's evolution and integration into FasciAshi's work is a complete game changer for Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage practitioners! No more death gripping the bars or lifting your weight up by pure brute arm strength and endurance: we lean into, sit on, and sling our libs over the strap to not only redirect gravity on varying angles, but also to lift, disperse and control our pressure and speed.

We practice what we teach – as FasciAshi instructors, we continue to offer barefoot massage services to our own clients in addition to teaching continuing education courses. We believe that maintaining an active practice in what we teach keeps the material fresh, evolving, and responsive. We encourage attendees in our classes to be lifelong learners and to continue to deepen their understanding of what Barefoot Massage means to them as they grow with us.
You can train at the location nearest you, or research our team of experts to discover their specialties and get to know their vibe, and train with who suits your needs best!
